Looking for a hot opinion on Jon Jones or Quinton "Rampage" Jackson? Turn to Rashad Evans (16-1-1 MMA, 11-1-1 UFC).

That's what the UFC did.

UFC brass recently announced that former light heavyweight champion Evans hosts this month's pre-UFC 135 UFC Fight Club Q&A session.

The session takes place on Friday, Sept. 23, prior to the day's official weigh-ins for "UFC 135: Jones vs. Rampage."

Featuring a heavily anticipated light-heavyweight title clash between current champ Jones and former title-holder Jackson, UFC 135 takes place Sept. 24 at Denver's Pepsi Center. A location for the weigh-ins has not yet been determined.

A seven-year veteran of the sport, Evans first gained prominence on the national scene as a heavyweight competitor on "The Ultimate Fighter 2." In the finals, Evans defeated Brad Imes to claim the tournament win and then promptly dropped to light heavyweight, a division more suitable for his 5-foot-11 frame.

Evans rose quickly through the ranks and in December 2008 defeated Forrest Griffin to claim the UFC's 205-pound title. Evans would surrender the belt to Lyoto Machida before netting a successful defense of the championship, but his recent wins over Tito Ortiz, Jackson and Thiago Silva have earned him the right to fight for the belt against the winner of UFC 135's main event.

Doors to the event open at 3 p.m. ET (1 p.m. MT local time), and Evans hits the stage at one hour later. The session is open only to members of the UFC Fight Club, the UFC's official fan club.
