I wish I had a Mac so I didnt have to worry about viruses! Mac's cant get viruses??

Technically, Mac can get a virus. At the current time, there are three known viruses for the Mac. But Apple offers updates constantly. The computer asks you if you want the virus downloaded. You have to click yes three times to download the virus to your computer. The main reason for this is that Apple hasn't released their language to the public like PC has. The downside is less software because of the language barrier. But I imagine as Mac gets a larger percent of computer users, more viruses will be written. But for the time being, no worries.
When our last computer died, we were going to buy another PC. Then we started looking at Macs. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to use the new platform after it took me years to learn what little I new about windows. I was also concerned I couldn't send Word or Exel files for business. All of those concerns were unfounded. What put us over the edge was when we found out that the MS Office program we bought just two years ago wouldn't work on Vista. Thats when my wife said fuck Bill Gates, were buying a Mac.
There was a learning curve. But after a month, I could do more on the Mac than I could on PC. Also, there is a switch on the computer that allows you to switch to PC format if you want. I've never used it. MS office is available on Mac. But I found out that Mac had a program called IWork. It's basically the same as office at half the price. The brilliant part is that it allows you to read Office applications if an Office file is sent to you. And you can simply convert any of your IWork files to Office if you need to send them to someone using a PC. It's my understanding that Exel is far more advance than Numbers which is Macs equivalent. But Numbers is more than I need to run my small business. The Mac is kind of like a furbie. It adapts to you. There seem to be multiple ways of doing most functions. Then the computer offers you the path you typically use first if that makes any sense.
They say once you go Mac you never go back. This is true for me. There are some limitations for Mac though. If you're really advance with computers, there is alot more you can do on PC. Also PC is better for video games. For me this is the most user friendly computer ever. Also if you have an Apple store near you. They have free classes on various subjects throughout the week. The best part, you literally take the Mac out of the box, plug it in, and your ready to go. I couldn't believe how easy it was using Mail (their version of Outlook). I selected the icon, it asked if I wanted to use mail for my email, I selected yes, it asked for my email address and pass word, done. The next time you need to buy a computer, I'd suggest looking at a Mac. It's one of the few buying experiences that was pleasant from tart to finish with no regrets afterward.
